The research, from University of Melbourne, Australia, was funded by Pfizer Inc.
A sample of more than 6,000 women ages 18 to 41, who are treated with the drug tadalafil (brand name Cialis) has found that a new study shows that it can help women who have been struggling with erectile dysfunction to get their first treatment.
The findings are published in the journal.
The findings are part of the larger, open-label study published in the Journal of Clinical and Economic Sciences.
The study was published in the journal of the Australian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (ASUOG).
Researchers from the University of Melbourne have found that tadalafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow when sexually aroused.
The research was published in the journal.
Tadalafil is a type of medication used to treat erectile dysfunction.
Researchers at the University of Melbourne recruited 746 women who had used tadalafil for a few months.
They then compared their responses to the study with that of healthy volunteers. They also measured the effects of tadalafil on blood flow in the penis.
The researchers found that women who took tadalafil had a lower rate of sexual desire than those who were not.
Tadalafil was found to be effective for men with ED, and women who took tadalafil were more likely to report a reduced sex drive.
Men who used the drug were more likely to have a lower sex drive than those who were not.
Tadalafil, which is a type of medication known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, has been shown to be effective in treating erectile dysfunction, and is also a treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
The researchers also found that women who took tadalafil had a reduced rate of sexual desire.
Women taking tadalafil also reported a reduced number of orgasms than those who did not.
However, they found no significant differences in the rate of erection that a woman taking tadalafil reported with a placebo.
The study's lead author, Dr Michael Anderson, from the University of Melbourne's School of Pharmacy and Pharmacy, said it was the first time that a new study has been carried out using open-label treatment in women with erectile dysfunction.
"This is the first new study that we are hoping to determine if tadalafil can help women who have been struggling with erectile dysfunction to get their first treatment," he said in a statement.
Dr Anderson said the new study was looking at the effectiveness of tadalafil in women with ED.
"This is very important because this could be a big step in the right direction for women who are struggling with ED and want treatment," he said.
In this latest study, researchers tested tadalafil in 3,366 women who had used the drug for several months, and those who were not taking any other medicines.A sample of women who were taking a placebo pill was recruited from 930 women who had been taking tadalafil for several months. The women who took the drug were asked to rate how they felt after they took the drug.
The researchers randomly assigned them to take the placebo pill and each woman was assigned to take one of the treatments.
They then compared the rate of arousal and orgasmic satisfaction during each of the six sessions.
The researchers found that women who took the placebo pill were more likely to have a reduced number of orgasms during the six-week trial compared to those who took the placebo pill.
